Tis the season for great gift ideas. And since the Holidays are all about lounging at home, doing nothing at all, sleeping, drinking or playing Scrabble, this item caught my eye. This is more revisionist classic design than true to life celebration, but nonetheless a nicely conceived product. Exclusive to Restoration Hardware, Vintage Edition Scrabble® is a handsomely produced version of the classic American word game. Invented in the 1930s by architect Alfred M. Butts and brought to mainstream America in 1948 by James Brunot, Scrabble® has since sold to over 100million people. The vintage edition clothes the game in a hard wood cabinet with die wood metal accents and includes embossed wooden tiles.
